Jazz Consortium – Fall 2024

I would like to invite you and your jazz ensemble to take part in an exciting new consortium commission. I have been active in jazz education, arranging, and composition for over 20 years and am regularly invited to lead clinics and workshops, as well as adjudicate festivals all over the Pacific Northwest. Recently, my jazz works have been featured in reading sessions and performances at the All-NW NAfME Conference, and my jazz suite, Salish, was premiered in March of 2023 by the Seattle JazzEd Girls’ Ellington Ensemble. The 2023 Consortium: Bigfoot Stomp – will be published by Brava Jazz this fall.

Pine Ridge Express will be a high-energy swing tune that captures the essence of a fast-paced journey through scenic landscapes. With its upbeat tempo, catchy melodies, and intricate harmonies, the piece propels listeners down a musical track, invoking the excitement and rhythms of a vintage train ride.
